The 1956 Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta Competizione won its way into the final of the Peninsula Classic Best of the Best Award by taking out the Trofeo BMW Group (awarded by the jury) for “best of show” at the 2021 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este.

A 1956 Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta Competizione became the latest winner of the Annual Peninsula Classics “Best of the Best” Award yesterday, winning the 2021 edition of the most prestigious concours honor in the world.

Drako Motors holds the world premiere of the GTE at the Quail 2019

It’s become all too common for a startup to materialize out of nowhere with claims of having the next groundbreaking electric car. In fact, it’s happened twice this month alone. Much less common is for that startup to accompany those claims with a production-ready vehicle. But here comes Drako Motors, a Silicon Valley-based startup you’ve probably never heard of, with an all-out hyper-GT it says is ready for production. Four doors, four seats and four motors, the 1,200-hp GTE debuts as the world’s most powerful sedan, a grand tourer built to exceed 200 mph (322 km/h) and vector sharply around twisting pavement with four passengers and all their bags.

Bugatti's new 1600hp, $8.8 million Centodieci

Stephan Winkelmann, President of Bugatti, announces the new Centodieci

Bugatti chose today’s Quail Motorsports Gathering at Monterey Car Week to take the wraps off its latest hypercar, the Centodieci. The Centodieci pays homage to the Bugatti EB110 built in the 1990s, with all ten cars in the limited production run already sold at EUR€8,000,000 (plus VAT) apiece. The familiar 8.0-litre Bugatti W16 engine has been tweaked to produce 1,600 hp at 7,000 rpm, providing an electronically capped 380 km/h top speed.
