Cloud IT infrastructure spend grew to $32.6 billion in 2016

According to IDC, vendor revenue from sales of infrastructure products (server, storage, and Ethernet switch) for cloud IT, including public and private cloud, grew by 9.2% year over year to $32.6 billion in 2016, with vendor revenue for the fourth quarter (4Q16) growing at 7.3% to $9.2 billion. Worldwide spending on security technology to reach $81.7 billion in 2017

A new update to the Worldwide Semiannual Security Spending Guide from IDC forecasts worldwide revenues for security-related hardware, software, and services will reach $81.7 billion in 2017, an increase of 8.2% over 2016.
