I cleaned my credit card yesterday by using acetone and i noticed that some parts of magnetic stripe of my card slightly became pale black. Does acetone destroy magnetic stripe of the card? or not?

Currently they receive CHD (no CVV) in non-secure ways and store it on paper in order to execute payments via card-not-present POS transactions.

First and foremost – I am not planning on going down the road of trying to adhere to PCI compliance myself, It’s simply not worth the headache. I am however interested in how some companies manage to do this.
