Antivirus companies, anti-abuse nonprofits join forces to combat stalkerware

An array of businesses and nonprofits are stepping up their efforts to counter “stalkerware,” the surveillance software that has been linked with domestic abuse. The Coalition Against Stalkerware, unveiled Tuesday, comprises antivirus companies Avira, Kaspersky, and Malwarebytes; digital rights group Electronic Frontier Foundation; and organizations such as the National Network to End Domestic Violence.
