Google Material Design principal Nicholas Jitkoff joins Dropbox as head of design
Dropbox today said it has named Nicholas Jitkoff — former lead designer for Google’s Material Design team — as its VP of design.
This comes on the heels of a suite of announcements Dropbox made last week, including the launch of its continuous synchronization product Smart Synd and the global launch of note-taking app Paper — as well as a redesign to its web experience. Dropbox said today that it is rolling out Paper — its note-taking app that it’s emphasizing is a tool that’s built for managing workflow as well — globally. Dropbox today released Smart Sync, its tool that allows users to access files stored online in Dropbox accounts automatically on a desktop without having the file stored locally.
