Microsoft chief operating officer Kevin Turner leaving company

Kevin Turner is leaving Microsoft after eleven years near the top of the company as chief operating officer, the company has announced. He’s leaving some might big shoes to fill — in fact, Microsoft plans to appoint five new positions to replace him.

Reported earlier by Recode, Turner is heading to trading firm Citadel Securities after a “short transition period.”
